Bridal makeup terms and conditions
Trial payment must be paid on the day of the trial by cash or done a week before by bank transfer. The payment of the trial is non refundable.
To secure your booking a 50% deposit is required to secure the wedding date, without this deposit the date will not be reserved. The remaining 50% is to be paid on the wedding day, the makeup artist must have received the payment by the wedding date. This can either be paid in cash on the date of the wedding or by bank transfer 1 week before the wedding date to Laura Carroll.
Travel expenses- a milage cost will apply for locations situated 10 miles outside of Aylesbury at a rate of 40p per mile.
TRAIL AND LOCATION
When booking a trial please ensure space and lighting will be available to your artist at your chosen location (natural light if possible). A ‘set up’ table to place the products used needs to be available along with a stool or chair with consideration to height. Seating arrangement lower than the knee will not be acceptable.
Before any makeup application the client must inform the makeup artist of any skin conditions or allergies which may be affected by the use of the makeup artists tools or products. The makeup artist will not be held responsible for any reactions that may occur, if any skin conditions were not stated before the application of makeup.
The makeup artist has the right to refuse the makeup service to clients if any abusive or threatening behaviour (in any way) is felt during the booking. Any cancellation due to this reason will not enable any refunds and full payment from the client will still be outstanding.
The makeup artist will not be held responsible for any delays caused by events beyond their control.
Here are the following charges should the client wish to cancel their booking with their chosen makeup artist:
Cancellation of booking within 30 days of the wedding date= 100% of the remaining balance must be paid to the booked makeup artist.
Cancellation of booking within 60-31 days of the wedding date= 75% of the remaining balance must be paid to the makeup artist.
The 50% deposit is non refundable in all circumstances other than cancellation by the makeup artist.
The client is required to give a minimum of 4 weeks notice to the makeup artist to any changes (more or less) in the number of people having the makeup service in the bridal party. If you have anyone within the bridal party who changes their mind and decides not to have their makeup done within 4 weeks of the wedding date the total price will not change. Please ensure that your bridesmaids and any other adult wanting makeup done are 100% confirmed to avoid any disappointment.
Should any objections to any outstanding payment occur upon cancelling Laura Carroll Makeup Artistry will proceed with legal action to recover any loss in payment.
MAKEUP ARTIST CANCELLATION
Only in the serious cases of illness or immediate family emergencies will your makeup artist cancel their confirmed booking with you. In such circumstance all efforts will be made to find a replacement makeup artist with details and photos of the makeup look you decided. If no replacement is found, the full amount will be refunded to you, including the 50% deposit.
The makeup artist reserves the right to cancel your booking without refund of the deposit if at any point a member of the bridal party displays any abusive or offensive behaviour.
To increase the makeup artists portfolio consent from the bride must be made clear to use any photography taken on the day for publicity reasons. These may be used on the makeup artists website and social media pages. No personal information will be given, and the photographer will be fully credited should he/she wish to be.
